Nostos Residence TSELENDATA

I

In rebuilding my forefathers house I have hoped to create a more personal residence, not just one more place to go to and stay. I have tried to make this 177 year old house as pleasant as possible. I know that I have a long way to go. I hope that each year that goes by I will be able to improve it.

Tselendata, which is 3klms from the famous port of   FISKARDO  is not  a mainstream type village. There are no Taverna's, restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc. It's an old family village dating back from the Venetian times. Most of the villages in the area were built so they could not be seen from the sea, thus avoiding the pirates. Close by there is the village of Maganos. If you're a walker you should make it in an hour(3 to 3.5klms). There are two coffee shops there. Makis and Mema There are also two of what we call supermarkets. Prices here are generally cheaper than in Fiskardo. Please never hesitate to ask me for information and directions (I live downstairs).

W A T E R
in our village is scarce. We have no main supply. Every body has his own cistern and partially fills it up during the winter with rainwater and then tops it up with water that is bought and brought from the mainland. So we all have to watch our water each time we use it and so avoid to let taps run.

Beaches: There are several around us. Emblisi is right next to Fiskardo with crystal clear water. It's guaranteed to stay like that since NO ANCHORAGE is allowed to all and any vessel.
